Getting to Bahol and Panglao

By plane

The Tagbilaran Airport is the main airport of Bohol.

Flights depart and arrive from Cebu City and Manila. The flight between Manila and Tagbilaran is about an hour and a half. The flight to Cebu is less than an hour.

It is located about 5 minutes ride from the heart of the city. It now caters to three commercial airlines: Asian Spirit, Cebu Pacific, and Philippine Airlines.

A taxi from the airport will cost around US$10-15, whilst the amazing local tricycles will set you back around US$5-7, the latter is the most enjoyable of rides and takes about 25-30 min.

By boat

The Tagbilaran City Tourist Pier handles over 4000 travelers on a daily basis.

However these boats have scheduled timings and are run by several operators - hence tourists would be well advised to check timings before planning the trip. The first Cebu - Tagbilaran ferry leaves Cebu at 9 am (journey takes two hours) and the last ferry departs Tagbilaran at 7 pm.

Sunday ferries from Tagbilaran to Cebu are often fully booked, so book ahead or use the port in Tubigon if travelling on a Sunday.

It is simple to catch a cab or a tricycle at the ferry station.

A taxi from the port will cost around US$10-15, whilst the amazing local tricycles will set you back around US$5-7, the latter is the most enjoyable of rides and takes about 25-30 min.
